Community Water Projects

Beyond education and training, we invest in community infrastructure that improves quality of life for entire villages.

Community Water Projects

Access to clean water is a fundamental right. FFOU's Community Water Projects program works with rural communities to install boreholes, spring-fed water systems, and rainwater harvesting tanks. Since 2017, FFOU has completed over 10 water projects serving thousands of people across Uganda's rural communities. Each project is community-led, ensuring local ownership, maintenance capacity, and long-term sustainability. Water projects reduce time spent fetching water (often by women and girls), improve hygiene and sanitation, reduce waterborne disease, and free up time for education and economic activities.
