Carmistin Skilling Centre

The Carmistin Skilling Centre is FFOU's flagship vocational training program, offering comprehensive courses in tailoring, fashion design, hairdressing and beauty therapy. Established to address youth unemployment, the centre provides hands-on, practical training that equips graduates with marketable skills. Students complete a structured curriculum over 6-12 months, earning certificates recognized by Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB). Upon graduation, students receive starter toolkits to launch their own small businesses. The centre has trained over 300 graduates, most of whom are now self-employed or running their own salons and tailoring shops across Kampala and beyond.
